Make Your Own Chocolate Pizza Kit - Review!

At the end of August we were sent a fab selection of gifts and toys from What 2 buy 4 kids to try and one of those gifts was the Make Your Own Chocolate Pizza Kit. My girls love pizza and chocolate so this was just perfect.....Becky had the honours of making it....

The pizza kit contains everything kids need to make a delicious 7-inch pizza made from chocolate, including a pizza mould and top quality ingredients.

I imagined the pizza mould the be a cheap plastic bowl but it's not it's actually a metal bowl....

You simply melt the chocolate in the microwave then decorate with sweets provided and white chocolate curls....

The chocolate did take longer than instructed to melt in the microwave but I just put that down to the fact it was a cold day....

It was so simple to make and Becky needed no instruction from me.....We popped it into the fridge and left it to set. After 20 or so minutes you are supposed to go back and cut it into slices so it is easy to eat...We forgot. Oops.

Later that night the girls wolfed it down....They loved it. They let me have a taste and it was certainly delicious...

The chocolate pizza costs £12.99 and I would say it is well worth the money. It would make a great gift for someone for Christmas!

We were sent the Make Your Own Chocolate Pizza Kit free of charge. This is our review.

Lessons to be learned from the movies. Day 17 of #Blogtober17

Movies do so much for us. They make us laugh, cry, see us through the hardest of times and they have the ability to inspire and empower us.....

These are some of my favourite quotes....

Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim.
Finding Nemo

There should be no boundaries to human endeavor. We are all different. However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. While there’s life, there is hope.
The Theory of Everything

If everybody were like everybody else, how boring it would be. The things that make me different are the things that make me, Me!"
Winnie the Pooh

Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times. If one only remembers to turn on the light.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.
The Godfather II

Oh yes, the past can hurt. But you can either run from it, or learn from it.
The Lion King

Don’t ever let somebody tell you can’t do something, not even me. Alright? You dream, you gotta protect it. People can’t do something themselves, they wanna tell you can’t do it. If you want something, go get it. Period.
The Pursuit of Happyness

It ain't about how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done.

Venture outside your comfort zone. The rewards are worth it.

Life is not the amount of breaths you take it’s the moments that take your breath away.

Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but it doesn't get you anywhere.
Van Wilder

After a while, you learn to ignore the names people call you and just trust who you are.

There’s no place like home.

My biggest fears. Day 16 of #Blogtober17

I am taking part in Blogtober17 and will be writing posts with various themes/prompts throughout October...Today's prompt is: Phobias

When I started writing this blog post I didn't think I was scared of much apart from the usual things like spiders, clowns and heights but when I started thinking more about phobias it turns out I am one big scaredy-cat by every day normal things.....

Washing glasses in the sink.

When I was a teenager I was washing the dishes and put my hand in the glass with the sponge and the glass shattered and I cut my knuckle quite badly.....I am left with an inch long scar and since then I do everything I can to get out of washing glasses.

I haven't had much luck with hospitals....I had my appendix out when I was 18 and had an allergic reaction to the anesthetic which left me being sick for nearly a week....When I was having Ellie they messed the spinal up. Then there is the whole drama with the kids hearts. When I'm being sensible I know that the doctors and hospitals are there to help but I have felt let down by them missing my girls heart defects for years....I always think now when we go for their check ups, what if they have made a mistake again!

Trying on clothes in shops.

Have you ever tried on something and got stuck in it? I have came very close and it panicked me so much. Now I won't try anything on in shops unless it's shoes or coats. lol

Speaking on the phone.

I will only willingly speak on the phone to my fella, Becky, my dad, his girlfriend and my Aunty Jean. Everyone else get's text messages, emails or Facebook messages....If people ring me I am not to bad but I will rarely ring someone...

When I make a phone call I have to write down what I am going to say....I have to build myself up to it for at least 10 minutes and if I can I will get out of it....

Not having the internet.

As a blogger I do worry what would happen if our internet suddenly went off...I use the internet for everything. Shopping, paying bills, speaking to friends and family, finding out information, watching TV shows and of course blogging. Eek!

Our Weekly Meal Plan!! - #mealplanningmonday

Last weeks meal plan went well until the end of the week....We had fish & chips on Friday night which was a lovely treat....

Over the past couple of weeks I have realised that after Ellie has finished football practice on a Monday tea has to be on the table or she gets really hangry! So I will be aiming to have it nearly ready when she comes in....

This week we have a parents evening for Ellie at something to six so we will have a snack after school then maybe call into the chip shop on the way home from school...

This week on the menu we have:

Monday - Chicken stir fry....
Tuesday - Chip shop tea.
Wednesday - Sausage stew....
Thursday - Fish finger wraps....
Friday - Sandwiches, snacks and cakes....
Saturday - Burgers in buns with corn on the cob & fries....
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.....

What are you eating this week?

Three peas in a pod. #MySundayPhoto #Blogtober17

I am taking part in Blogtober17 and will be writing posts with various themes/prompts throughout October...Today's prompt is: Old Photos

This is the perfect prompt for today with it being My Sunday Photo day.....

People say my girls and I look so alike but you don't realise how much until you get a photo of each of us around the same age in nearly the same pose.

A photo everyday for a year - Week 41 #Project365

We have had a quiet week this week....Just plodding on with life hence the rubbish photos but I still managed one every day.

266/365 - 7th October
Saturday night sweets....The boxes of chocolates were on offer for £2 so the girls got a box each.

267/365 - 8th October
I had the last Chicago Town Salted Caramel pizza. They are so good but very, very sweet.

268/365 - 9th October
I hate putting the washing away and always leave it to pile up. I need to put it away more!

269/365 - 10th October
We got the proofs for Becky's school photos. We went with option B. The one with her arms folded.

270/365 - 11th October
I came so close to not taking a photo today.....I was playing an online game Hearthstone before I went to bed, was changing my deck of cards and took a photo to remind me of what cards I had....This will have to do.

271/365 - 12th October
Soup for tea. Ellie had ham sandwiches to dip in.

272/365 - 13th October
I came home from having coffee with friends to see my fella had started painting the living room....It needed doing but we weren't planning to do it so soon. Oh well. It's done now. lol

50 Books to read before you die.... Day 14 of #Blogtober17

I am taking part in Blogtober17 and will be writing posts with various themes/prompts throughout October...Today's prompt is: Novels

This prompt panicked me.....I am not a reader! Well I do read blogs and lots of them but now I rarely read books....

I don't have time for reading but do listen to audio books....When the kids are at school and Stu is at work I will listen to a book....I always seem to busy to sit down and read an actual book....

Last Saturday night I came up with the genius idea of finding a list of books to read before you die to see how badly I did at reading them but I surprised myself.

There is others which I have seen the film of....Like The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit....

How many of the 50 books have you read?

Movie Memories. Day 13 of #Blogtober17

I am taking part in Blogtober17 and will be writing posts with various themes/prompts throughout October...Today's prompt is: Movies

I am really rubbish at watching Movies....I tend to watch more TV shows than actual films....When I do watch films they seem to be one's that I have seen over and over or one's with the kids where I only half watch them.....

The last film I watched all the way through last week was Con Air. I have seen it at least 50 times and love it. It is on my top 10 list of favourite films....

The first film I remember watching was Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs...My dad took my brother and I to see it a the cinema. It was also the first time I visited the cinema...

My dad used to love watching films....He was the one who let my brother and I watch Jaws when were were little. My mother came in to fine my brother hid behind the settee scared....Oops! He obviously wasn't a fan of killer sharks.

Another movie film which sticks in my head is E.T. Years ago on Christmas day there was always a big deal about a new film being shown and one year it was E.T. It still gets to me now...So sad but such a lovely film at the same time!

The first time I saw any of Terminator 2 was at school....lol People would bring videos in to watch at the end of term....As a lesson was only an hour long I only got to watch about 50 minutes of it....In the next class the teacher wouldn't let us watch it as it was classed as something like a 15 film and at the time my friends and I were about 12 years old...Oops.

When I was a teenager my brother had some friends who would get copied VHS videos of new films which were out at the cinema. We saw the Lion King when it was brand new and Independence Day. I think we wore the video out. We thought we were so cool and our parents couldn't really complain because we were not asking for money to go to the cinema....

The last film I saw at the cinema was the new version on Cinderella and the one before that was Titanic. I saw Titanic by accident. My friend and I went to see something else, I can't remember what but we were late and the next showing was in a couple of hours. Titanic was just starting so we went to see that not expecting to enjoy it but we did. So much so that I bought it on VHS the day it was released....

I think the last brilliant film I watched was A Street Cat Named Bob.

Based on the international best selling book. The true feel good story of how James Bowen, a busker and recovering drug addict had his life transformed when he met a stray ginger cat.

My teen and I watched this and didn't expect much from it but it made me cry and smile then cry happy tears. It is such a lovely film. I think it being a true story makes it such a touching story.

This week my Word of the Week is: Changes. #WotW

This week my Word of the Week is:

Over the weekend we got a letter from Becky's school.....Her Computer Science teacher took ill during the first week back at school in September and they've had a supply teacher since....It has now been decided that they can't continue the Computer Science GCSE as they don't have a teacher and it has been changed to a BTEC in I-Media.

From what I can gather it is more to do with designing websites, graphics and animations than computer science was.....We don't know yet because they are not starting it until the half term holidays....Ugh! I'm guessing and hoping we will find out more over the next couple of weeks....

On Wednesday we had a meeting at school with a lovely lady who has been assessing Ellie for her emotional needs....Since Ellie's suspected ADHD/Autism was mentioned people seem to be queuing up to help us....

The woman has no concerns about Ellie but can see that she has low confidence at school....She is shy at school and won't always put her hand up in class, she worries about what her friends think about her and sometimes feels alone at school. This teacher/support worker is going to work with her to boost her confidence and will be seeing her regularly and will be there for her when she goes into the secondary school too as she is based at the other school! Hooray!

The woman mentioned out of school clubs so Ellie can meet new people. We had looked but they are either expensive, have waiting lists or are miles away. She mentioned somewhere really close to us that I hadn't thought of and Ellie is going to her first street dance class tonight....

My fella has mostly worked the same shifts for the past few years but over the last couple of weeks they have been changing. He's still working the same amount of hours but doing early shifts on different days and I don't like it. I don't like this sort of change to my routine....

I haven't done the afternoon school run for a whole week and it is a change that is taking some getting used to....Ellie has of course loved walking home with her friends apart from a couple of days. One where she got 5 minutes away from school and realised she had left her scooter & had to go back and on Wednesday when it was chucking it down. She got in and was soaked to the skin. She had forgotten to zip her coat up. lol

My girls love... Day 12 of #Blogtober17

I am taking part in Blogtober17 and will be writing posts with various themes/prompts throughout October...Today's prompt is: Love

This prompt for me was a tough one...I obviously love my girls, my fella, my blog, wine, Bon Jovi and food but writing about my loves is boring...I have written plenty about them in the past. I thought I would write about what my girls love.

Ellie my 10 year old loves:

Ellie is obsessed with Unicorns. She has clothes, toys, teddies and sometimes even pretends to be one. I know it is just a fad but I am really enjoying it. It may be costing me a small fortune though. lol

Her Monkey.
I wrote a whole blog post about her soft toy which isn't actually a monkey. Her love for him isn't fading and it is so sweet...He really is part of the family!

Jo Jo Siwa
The girl with the big bows....lol She was on Dance Moms. I've never seen it but Ellie has told me about it. Ellie knows her off YouTube and as a singer and of course for the big bows that all the kids are wearing now a days. We went into Primark last week just to have a look at her clothing range. We had to buy a t-shirt. The doll is on Ellie's Christmas list and goodness knows what else...

Given the choice she will choose to drink water over anything else which is a good thing but she also loves playing in it! I can fill the sink with water and she will play for hours....She has temper tantrums when I try to take her out of the bath or shower and in the summer she will play outside for hours playing with the hosepipe and in the paddling pool...

Becky my 15 year old loves:

You Tube
She is obsessed....She has her favourite You Tubers. Joe Sugg, Zoella, Louise Pentland, Logan & Jake Paul, Niki and Sammy and lots of others....Given the chance she would watch videos all day....I would say she watches more You Tube than actual TV.

The colour Green.
If it's green she has to have it....It's not the typical colour that most people like but she does.

Her bed.
Yes most teeneager's love their sleep but my girl would spend all day Saturday and Sunday in bed watching YouTube videos on her TV.

If Becky see's something with any sort of emoji's she wants it. She has bedding, clothes, books slippers, decorations in her room, jigsaws, teddies, cushions...The list of things goes on and on and she has already mentioned a few things she wants for Christmas with emoji's on.

A Purple Kitchen. Day 11 of #Blogtober17

I am taking part in Blogtober17 and will be writing posts with various themes/prompts throughout October...Today's prompt is: Kitchen

My favourite colour is purple....There is splashes of it in the living room. The cushions, curtains and pictures on the walls but I dream of having a purple kitchen too....When I was decorating the living room a couple of years ago I saw everything and wanted it. Stu put his foot down and said no! We didn't need to replace anything....He's right. It's would be just wasting money but I can dream of a purple kitchen.

5-Piece Iridescent Pan Set - £39.99 - Studio
Villeroy & Boch S+ Lila Cutlery Set 5pcs - £19.90 - House of Fraser

Colourplay Cutlery Tray - £2.00 - Wilkos

Do you have a colour theme in your kitchen?

Jokes and Giggles. Day 10 of #Blogtober17

I am taking part in Blogtober17 and will be writing posts with various themes/prompts throughout October...Today's prompt is: Joke

I am easily amused....My favourite joke is:

Q: Where do cows go when they want a night out?
A: The moo-vies.

I am so childish....I laugh at the kids farting and burping. I play silly pranks on them....When I have cold hands I will put them on the back of their necks just for the lols....I am totally a child and that doesn't work well when I am supposed to be an adult.....

These are some of the funny things my girls have been doing over the last few weeks....

There are times when I can't tell the kids off for laughing. A few weeks ago Ellie caught a spider and took it upstairs to show Becky....She let it free in Becky's bedroom. It was wrong but all I could do was laugh. If it had been set free in my bedroom it would have been a whole different story.....

It turns out Ellie doesn't like Chicken and Mushroom pies....BUT Mushroom and Chicken pies are delicious! lol Yes they are the same thing. I just moved the pie around on her plate and she thought it was a different one....hahaha

We were at the school last week with Becky having a serious conversation with someone quite high up in the school and as we were talking my fella said something along the lines of "it's her big year" about Becky starting her GCSE's. I looked at Becky and she was smirking. I just knew she was thinking of Logan Paul the You Tuber saying "it's your big day"! I had to look away before I laughed too.

I asked Ellie where she would like to visit in England....Expecting her to say somewhere like London, no she wants to visit France. That's in England according to her. lol

I have the same jeggings as Becky and she has banned me from wearing them at the same time as her. I am not cool enough to wear the same clothes as her....Eesh! I had them first. She wanted them because she loved mine. She seems to forget that fact.

Ellie was determined that she didn't like honey despite never really tasting it before. She said it is made from bee's, dead bee's all squashed and mixed with water....I swear she is educated and very bright just sometimes I really do wonder....I let her dip her finger in the jar and have a taste....She of course loves it! lol

Becky has been learning about pregnancy in Health & Social care at school and had a feel of the fake baby bump and the weight of it....She said I would never cope carrying that weight around all day....She seems to forget I have twice! I carried her and her sister around in my belly for 9 months. She really does say some silly things at times.

Ellie says I can't stop her playing her recorder as it's part of her school work....She's partly right but there's only so much of it that I can take in one day.....I told her to give it a rest for a bit and she brought me two lumps of playdoh wanting me to use them as earplugs. Eesh!

Ellie has found her favourite joke in one of Becky's joke books...It took her 10 minutes to say it. She could not stop laughing....

Q: What kind of bees produce milk?
A: Boo-Bees

Where I want to holiday in the UK. Day 8 of #Blogtober17

I am taking part in Blogtober17 and will be writing posts with various themes/prompts throughout October...Today's prompt is: Holidays.

As a family we have never been on holiday....This isn't a woe is me post....I don't work so I can stay home and be there for the kids so we only have one wage coming in. We have enough money to live and for a few luxuries but not enough for a holiday.....We are happy staying home.

If we were to go away on holiday it wouldn't have to be anything fancy. We probably wouldn't even travel out of the UK. I would be happy so long as there is Wi-Fi. hehehe

Seahouses - Northumberland.

It may seem strange choosing somewhere in the same county where we live but as my fella and I don't drive it is such a long bus ride away. To enjoy it properly we would need a few days....I would like to take a boat ride around the Farne Islands, have fish & chips,  and just take in the sea air.

Coombe Mill - Cornwall.

The lovely Fiona who is also a blogger owns and runs Coombe Mill with her family. It is a working farm and has several Luxury self catering lodges and cottages....It always looks like so much fun on the farm with tractor rides, activities, play areas, crafts and of course all the animals to see.

I can still remember holidays as a child visiting Blackpool....I would love to take the kids one day. We would ride on a tram, go to the Pleasure Beach, go up the tower and if we time it right see the famous Blackpool Illuminations!

York doesn't seem that far away from us by train and I would love to visit especially at Christmas. The markets sound amazing. I have no interest in trains but would fancy visiting the National Railway Museum and I would love to go on a ghost tour too. I think the kids would love the York Dungeon & the Jorvik Viking Centre....

I couldn't go and forget about our countries capital. There is so much that I would want to do in London. I think I'd need to spend a week there to fit everything in and plenty of money. I would be a proper tourist go for a ride on the London Eye, see a show in the west end, see Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, cross the Thames in a cable car, visit the Natural History Museum, Madame Tussauds, Tate Modern, Hyde Park....The list can go on and on. I think we would actually need a month to do and see everything. lol
