Heart Day #MySundayPhoto

Today is the day we celebrate my girls "Heart Day"....The day we all went went to hospital.....This time 6 years ago my girls were both getting ready to have open heart surgery.....Yes both of them.

We found out they both had problems with their hearts a few months before & six years ago today we travelled to the hospital for their surgery.....Becky had her surgery on the Monday and Ellie on the Tuesday.....It was a hell of a week but we all survived!!

It may seem a silly thing to celebrate but it was the start of my kids being the fit and healthy girls they are today....Without the surgery they would have probably been dead by their late teenage years....Most definitely by their 20's....

You can read our full story....Part One & Part Two as well as Our latest Check-Up.

This was my girls the day they came out of hospital....

I have covered Becky as she is 12 now and she didn't want herself on show.....She had the same wound/scar as Ellie....It's crazy to think only a few days before their chests were cut open and someone had their hearts in their hands......

And now....

Happy & Healthy....
