Slime Baff - Review!!

Ellie loves to have a bath....She always has the best time so when the chance arose to try out some Slime Baff from Zimpli Kids I was straight on it...

Slime Baff is a powder that turns bath water into gooey slime.
Sprinkle the powder in the bath water and watch as the water magically turns into gooey slime....When the fun is done simply turn the taps back on to dilute the slime. Gelli Slime gives children a fun bath time, does not block drains and is kind on skin.

100% safe on skin and non irritant.
Doesn't stain skin, carpets, clothes or bath tubs.
Manufactured in the UK.
EU, USA & Australian safety certification.
Non toxic and environmentally friendly.
Drains away easily after use.

2 x 150g Bag of Slime Powder cost £7.99 and it is available in blue, red and green....

This is what it is advertised to look like....

We followed the instructions.....Sprinkled the powder into 6 to 10cm of warm water....We waited five minutes and gave it a mix nothing really happened apart from the water turned green.....We added the 2nd packet and I gave it a mix and it started to thicken up but not as much as I expected it to do.....Ellie was keen to get in so I let her....

She had a great time and spent about 40 minutes in the Slime Baff....It was something different that she had never tried....It was only after about 25 minutes the water did start to get a bit thicker and gloopier....It's a good job my girl likes long baths...

When it was time to get out the bath Ellie tried to stand up so I could shower the slime off but it was impossible for her to as it was just so slippy even when standing on the bath mat....We had to wait for the bath to drain before I could properly start showering her by then she was in a mood and just wanted to get out of the bath....The Slime Baff did drain away fine and didn't cause any trouble with her plumbing....

When I had dried her and myself off....lol I did notice my hands were so dry and I needed to put some hand cream on.....Ellie's skin didn't seem to be effected.

It isn't a product I will buy again which is such a shame....I wanted this to be a great product...Ellie absolutely loved it when she was playing in it but it just wasn't as good as I expected it to be.....

I was sent some Slime Baff free of charge.....This is my honest review....All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  3. Shame it didn't work as well as you'd hoped. I suspect my kids would enjoy this, but not sure I would be so keen on the clean up :)

  4. We tried this a couple of years ago and reached the same conclusions as you. I was not impressed with this at all and it had such potential. My children weren't that bothered either.

  5. Oh this is a shame, as it has the potential to be great, I do prefer bubbles myself though!

  6. This sounds like a great idea, but such a shame it didn't quite live up to expectations. Not something I'll be trying

  7. That sounds a magical fantasy. I can see children actually bugging parents to give them a bath!
